As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our client’s financial records while enjoying a flexible hybrid work schedule that promotes work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting for your assigned clients, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct regular internal audits to identify any discrepancies or inefficiencies and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance system capabilities, and improve overall financial performance.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professional development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices, implementing any necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Quickbooks Online, Xero, or similar reporting system is required. Certification is a plus.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Experience with Zoho, Gusto, Divvy, Bill.com, Jirav and REALM are preferred.
